How to Manage Tasks?
Introduction
In this Project-Based Learning (PBL) lesson, we will explore the concept of task permissions within the Dework framework. We'll delve into different methods of task assignment and submission, each catering to various project needs and contributor dynamics. There are four types of permissions that determine who will work on the task.
Assign Someone
This method is straightforward. If you already know who will handle a specific task, you simply assign it to them directly. This approach is efficient for tasks requiring specific expertise or for recurring assignments.
Multiple Submissions
Here, contributors are free to submit their work, and from these submissions, one or more are chosen as winners. This method encourages a competitive environment and is ideal for sourcing diverse solutions or ideas.
Multiple submissions advanced Feature This includes the creation of a submission form, guiding contributors on how to structure their submissions.
Open to Applications
This option opens the task to applications from any contributor or those with specific roles. The reviewer then selects the best applicant for the task. This method is beneficial when seeking new talent or specific skill sets.
Advanced Features
This includes the creation of a submission form and you can integrate external application forms, allowing for a more comprehensive application process.
Direct Claiming
This allows trusted contributors with certain Discord roles to self-assign tasks. This method fosters trust and autonomy within the community and is effective for quick task allocation among reliable members.
NB! providing Dework role does not immedietly give permissions to user, it will take a while before Dework permissions update themselves.
In order to give quick access invite feature from the permission page should be used (invite from overview does not provide permissions)
